Creative Brief

The project involves creating 5 separate reels, each lasting between 30 to 50 seconds. These reels should maintain a cohesive editing and formatting style to allow for seamless integration into a longer compilation in future releases. The goal is to deliver high-impact visual storytelling that aligns with the ActNowFilm’s objectives;

  • Call for the official integration of youth in international climate policy
  • Deliver storytelling that highlights how young climate leaders overcome systemic and personal barriers to drive climate action both nationally and globally. This storytelling provides credibility to youth expertise, sparking inspiration among international audiences across social media platforms.

The filmmakers will capture and edit the stories of young climate leaders globally, with a particular focus on the global south, ensuring representation and authenticity in the voices featured. At least one reel will highlight Brazilian youth climate leaders, reflecting on the significance of COP30 for Brazil and showcasing the climate action being led by young people in the region.

Each reel will align with specific monthly themes:  Health in September, and Biodiversity in October, providing structure and thematic depth. Storytelling narratives in the reels should follow a hero’s journey narrative structure highlighting the personal growth, challenges, and triumphs of young climate leaders. The reels should additionally portray young climate leaders as relatable and inspiring figures whose experiences resonate with youth audiences globally.
