Shelley Arora-Tailby

Head of Innovation

Shelley is Head of Innovation and Partnerships within the Innovation Team.   

She leads our efforts to translate world-leading climate and nature research into real-world impact. Her role focuses on building early-stage partnerships, supporting innovation ideation, and helping researchers across the University advance their work toward practical applications. She also works to enhance the visibility of climate and nature innovations emerging from across the University and its wider network of partners, connecting ideas with opportunities across academia, industry, and policy.

In addition to her role as Head of Innovation, she provides strategic oversight and supports the effective management of operational activities across all of Cambridge Zero’s programmes in research, education, and policy engagement.

Shelley is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager and Chartered Scientist with over 15 years of experience spanning academia and industry. Prior to joining Cambridge Zero, she spent six years working within the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge and nine years managing large-scale programmes as an Environmental Consultant.
