Paul Casciato

Head of Communications

Paul has been leading on climate change, divestment and other communications and news campaigns at the University of Cambridge since 2018. Prior to Cambridge, Paul worked as a media consultant for various international organisations, including a number of UN agencies. He also spent 23 years as a journalist at Reuters reporting, writing and editing stories about global business, economics, politics, conflict, art and sport from North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has a BA in History from the University of Toronto.


What is your favourite thing about being part of Cambridge Zero or the University of Cambridge? 

Giving back.

What do you think is our biggest environmental challenge? 

Persuading policymakers to re-think how all of us work, travel and consume. 

What gets you out of bed (and into work) in the morning? 

The idea that we can make a difference.
